The Trinity Alps are a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Mountain peaks, lakes, streams and rivers highlight a wilderness paradise that enjoys warm summers, mild springs and autumns, and white winters.


Hiking/Walking

	There are almost a hundred different trails ranging in difficulty from the casual family stroll to thigh-burning ascents for serious hikers, with everything in-between. More on hiking in the Trinity Alps


Fishing

Fishing opportunities begin just steps from your front porch at one of the Eagle Creek Ranch guest houses. The Trinity River runs right through the middle of the ranch. Beyond the river, Trinity Lake, Lewiston, a variety of high-country lakes and streams, and Carrville Pond offer a variety of fishing experiences for both bobber-and-cricket types and serious anglers alike. Boating

	Boat rentals on Trinity Lake are only 15 minutes, away. Another 45 minutes, will put you on Lewiston's quiet, cold waters. Patio boats, row boats, canoes, and ski boats are all available for a few hours, or the entire day.


Canoeing

Canoeing and kayaking are great ways to experience Trinity Lake and Lewiston, while enjoying the sounds of the water lapping against the hull, wildlife and the wind flowing over the pine trees.


Waterskiing and Intertubing

	Trinity Lake is 20 miles long, and lightly visited, giving skiers plenty of room to carve some water.


Swimming

Swimming holes on Trinity River are a few steps from your guest house. For warmer water, the lake is just a 15 minute drive away.


Lakeside Picnics

	There are just a plethora of different settings where a family can enjoy a meal under the sky in the Alps: on the lake, along a river, or even just on your front porch, overlooking the big pasture.


Gold Panning

There's gold in the Trinity River, and you're welcome to do a little mining while you're here. If you'd like an old-timer who runs an active claim to show you how, we'll be delighted to set it up for you.
